FALSE PROPHETS & CULTS
(video version)

Yahweh warned His people about false prophets and teachers from early on in His revelation to us, and again, in the Gospel. To save time I'll let viewers read some of the following verses for yourselves.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

There were false prophets and teachers as early as the first century trying to advance heresies like Gnosticism.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

We are also warned that false teachers may appear to be innocent.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

That's why God's people are charged with the responsibility to:

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Which we can accomplish through the Word of God. Christians were warned about an even more specific "time" to "come" in the future of the first century.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Perhaps on schedule, the 19th century in particular, heralded many false teachers and false prophets whose doctrines endure unto this day.

Some of these teachers harkened to "familiar spirits" and even to apparitions that appeared as shimmering "angels". That's why we are instructed, as to what to request a spirit confess, if one is revealed to us.

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

There is good reason we are to "try the spirits":

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

One way to tell if a group is conspicuously a cult, is to do a Google search of the name or "ism" of the organization or sect, and include the term "recovery" after it. Here you will find candid discussion of false doctrines, from the perspective of those who have overcome them, and how these "doctrines of demons" have broken folks and families. Try another search with the term "cult" after it.

Let's also explore a group outside the "church", line by line, according to the definition of the term "cult".

cult
1. a particular system of religious worship, especially with reference to its rites and ceremonies.
2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, especially as manifested by a body of admirers
3. the object of such devotion.
4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.
5. Sociology . a group having a sacred ideology and a set of rites centering around their sacred symbols.
6. a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader.
7. the members of such a religion or sect.

It's 1400 years too late to "try the spirit", that Muhammad felt tried to squeeze the life out him three times, in that cave.

So then is it a surprise to find that their doctrine is provably false, not only through a purely secular view of it's 7th and 8th century created historical fiction that is exposed in the light of history, to the absence of archaeological confirmation of that fictional "history", as well as the preposterous geographical suggestions of that - what can only be labeled - "tradition".

However it's even more obvious from a Christian perspective since the false prophet Muhammad declared the exact opposite of the whole subject of the Gospel. Just as Muhammad was the exact opposite of Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Sura 19:88 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 89 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Surah 4:157 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

1John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Sura 19:88 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 89 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

You would think that would be enough to cause even a staunch atheist to ponder the odds, of the Quran representing about 1/4 - and the Gospel an additional 1/3 - of mankind, being such perfectly polar opposites.

To my Christian brethren, did it ever strike you as peculiar that the 20th century eschatology that you have been indoctrinated to believe, necessarily precludes even considering, that Muhammad could be the false prophet of the book of Revelation? Please click on the second link in the video drop-down menu.

Even worse, does your doctrine compel you to side with Muhammad's followers, in their animus against Jews and Israel, as it did some church leaders who actually met with Hezbollah while their "church" divested of Israeli assets? Can you even begin to see, that if you are under the authority of men like those, you need desperately to get out of there NOW? I recommend visiting ptmin.org to begin your rehab.

Since 20th century pop-eschatology blinded the "church" to THE false prophet Muhammad, is it a surprise that particularly the western "church" has done such a miserable job of helping those so sorely deceived by the false prophet Muhammad, overcome his 7th century invention while coming to know the love of the one true God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Please visit the second link in the drop-down menu to begin to explore what happened to the church. If you are reluctant to, what does that tell you about the eschatology, that you have been fed?

There is a lot of additional material in the text version of this video, at the Islam-Christian Forum, at the first link in the video drop-down menu labeled "Discussion".

Jesus IS truth. So can we expect to best serve Him by running and hiding from truth? By not even considering that which doesn't happen to agree with what we have been indoctrinated to believe?

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

To quote Ellis Skolfield, an elder in the ecclesia who has written about the role of Islam in bible prophecy for over 30 years:

"God is truth, so how well a person serves the Lord is not dependent on how artfully he can defend his doctrines, but on his willingness to seek out and follow the truth."

Brother Skolfield's book "The False Prophet" is available free, in several languages, at the 3rd link in the drop-down menu. What have you got to loose by reading a chapter or two?

Version directed specifically toward Islam without the church references
